Robert Katz's love for baseball (and the Mets) dates back to May 9, 1971.
"I was 6 years old when my sister took me to Shea Stadium as a Mother's Day present to my mom to get me out of the house and give her a day off," Katz says. "She thought she was doing my mom a favor, but instead, she created a monster of epic sports proportions."
